My Fire Laps are potential laps that our algorithms have generated by blending the laps in your session to create new lap times and lines that may be possible with your vehicle. We show you 1-3 laps, all to varying degrees better than your best lap, that can be achieved without exceeding your vehicle's lateral and longitudinal G force limits in each spot on the track. We may also show you a fully-optimized AI-generated lap which, while normally not achievable by humans, may give you insights on certain sectors.
Unlike other motorsports analysis software that obtains optimal lap times by breaking laps into sectors and splicing together a new lap using the best times in each sector, your Fire Lap takes into account dependencies between sectors such as how entrances and exits of turns are related. This deep analysis will take longer to generate than simpler approaches, so if you don't see any My Fire Laps listed here, check back later. Once My Fire Laps are ready, you can overlay, compare, or graph them like any other laps.
As you improve, each session you upload has the potential to expand the boundaries of what My Fire Laps are capable of finding, so keep uploading your data to continue learning and improving!
There are a number of ways. One is to overlay your Fire Lap and your previous best lap to identify regions of further improvement using our Sectors annotation, examining the drive lines in your Fire Lap to gain tips. You can also use the acceleration/braking point analysis to see if you can adjust these to maximize your time on the throttle.
While we try our best to verify that your Fire Lap doesn't require G forces that your vehicle hasn't already shown it can handle, we urge caution in trying to follow it exactly. Both your driving and car setup may need to change to safely achieve desired results, and Fire Laps is not responsible for any adverse results based on following these machine-generated laps. A Fire Lap is useful information, but only you know your comfort level and your vehicle's limits, so please use them as a reference only!
